There are stars lodged in a child's body, the night is a wound that festers

Deafening sounds and anguished eyes. A frail crumble of dust, with gunfire in the skies:another child dies, I can't see.
With the last bewildered parting kiss, his grave flooded by light shall be. When last did I cry?

The bodies painted in red and the eyes filled with steel: How does that make you feel ?
When they look in the mirror, do they feel guilty ? When last did I cry.

We exist, we live, neither forget nor forgive. This nation shall be free: when last did I cry.

Is sky still blue in color? Tell me for they blinded me,when last did I cry?

We're supressed to keep quiet, depressed not to fight, We'll yet describe our pain, fight for our rights.
We will rise through oppression, divine even if it be: when last did I cry.

Sitting under the red Chinar I look at her. Jhelum carrying the ashes of my long gone brothers,
I have no memory of my mother's paradise, for burned gardens was all I got to see. When last did I cry!
