Let peace once more reign supreme
and grant each person's cherished dream. Where to dream is free: when last did I cry.

Long have I waited for my disappeared ones, now nowhere to see, when last did I cry.

deeply traumatized, fearful of their own recent past, not defeated certainly, when last did I cry.

My body shivers because of a thought. Dear God, tell me if he is alive or not,
Since my lover hasn't come home, At banks of Jhelum, lonely heart and soul roam, roam so lonely: when last did I cry.
